I am supposed to write and solve an equation.
1. 5.4 more than a number is 23.1
2. 29 more than a number is 113
Please help. I am not sure what the paper means by "more than"
What I think it is saying is what number plus 5.4 or 29 is the second number. So for the first one, you would subtract 5.4 from 23.1 to get 17.7, and for the second one it would be 113.
