In this activity, you will choose a topic for a research paper based on the following writing prompt, develop research questions, and find two reliable sources for your paper.


Television, radio, websites, and newspapers spread information to large numbers of people. That makes them forms of media. All forms of media play a role in shaping how we see the world, whether they serve primarily as sources of news or as means of entertainment.


Think about the various media sources that you are exposed to. Consider the forms of media and what they communicate to you. What are the positive and negative aspects of these media sources? What values do they support? How do you feel about them?


Choose a focused topic and develop a research question that would fit a research paper of 400 to 500 words. Find at least two reliable sources that would support the research question
