The world became populated over time. In about 1780-1785 the world increased with the amount of 2,780,369 people populated here in this planet. On the scale it is shown that before there was less then 0mil but overtime it changed into a higher number so counting 1785-2020 there's about 331,449,281 nobody knows the exact amount anymore due to the population increasing & decreasing at the same time. This was during the Census year, known as the "Historical Census Population". The least populated state before was New York with 3,097,394 and Florida with 87,445. Today the populations have been increasing because a lot of new medicines are being developed so that people don't die from any diseases. Farmers are able to produce more food using the new equipment and breeds of animals. Some religions don't permit to use the contraception.
