The Marxism-Leninism ideology was the common theme between the American Communist Party and the Soviet Communist Party.

Both the American Communist Party and the Soviet Communist Party had the same political vision: the defense of Marxist communism, proposing the common ownership of the means of production, the absence of private property in the means of production and the absence of social classes. The great difference between the two is that Soviet communism became the prevailing model in their country, while American communism never developed or had political relevance in the United States.
