If a motorist vehicle becomes disabled he/she must:
- Pull off to the side as far as possible onto the shoulder or medium.
- Turn on emergency flashers.
- Raise the hood to signal for assistance.
- Stay in the vehicle and lock the doors.
- Ask anyone who stops to go to a phone and call for assistance.
- Never get into a stranger's vehicle!

First pull off to the side to where it would be safe.
Then turn on your emergency flash button
Carefully get out and raise the hood
Get back in, lock the doors and call for help.
