There are a couple ways we can convert a fraction to a decimal, but I'll use a simple way.
To convert 49/100 to a decimal, we must divide the numerator (top of the fraction, 49) by the denominator (bottom of the fraction, 100).
49 ÷ 100 = 0.49
So, 49/100 is written as 0.49 as a decimal.
