To get that, it'll be easier if we divide it into parts..
The big rectangle that is 8 x 4
the small rectangle that is 4x4
the triangle that is (6x4)/2
now we multiply and add them all
(8*4) + (4*4) + (6*4)/2
32 + 16 + 24/2
32 + 16 + 12
60
The Total Area of this figure thingy is 60 ft^2.
