Willow's company general ledger showed a checking account balance of $25000 at the end of may 2006. the may 31 cash receipts of $3000, included in the general ledger balance, were placed in the night depository at the bank on may 31 and were processed by the bank on june 1

If the the initial balance is $25000 and the $3000 cash receipts were included in the general ledger, then the June 1 balance should be the same as the balance at the end of May. The processing date will only update the transactions in the account but not the actual balance since it was already counted for.
