The Sahel is located in Africa. It is the region in Africa that
transitions from the Sahara to the Sudanian Savanna. It stretches across
in the region from the West of Africa to the East and includes parts of
Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Niger, Nigeria, Chad,
Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, CAR, Cameroon, and Ethiopia
The subduction zone is the place where two lithospheric plates come together, one riding over the other. Most volcanoes on land occur parallel to and inland from the boundary between the two plates.

- There are 15 countries in the ring of fire; Indonesia, New Zealand, Papa New Guinea, Philippines, Japan, United States, Chile, Canada, Guatemala, Russia, Peru, Solomon Islands, Mexico and Antarctica.
