  • x represents the number of years since purchase. Can x be negative? NO! Number of Years will have to be positive.
  • y represents the value of the computer at a specific year. Can this be negative? NO! Value of 0 is when the computer is totally worthless. Negative value doesn't exist for computer.

So we need a quadrant where x is positive and y in positive. It is the first quadrant.

Answer choice 2 is right.
