steps
1. Some plants make babies from long stems called runners.
2. This is a special way plants can make more plants without seeds.
3. The new plants grow roots and leaves and become their own individual plants!
4. Strawberries do this - they make new plants at the end of their runners.
5. Grasses do it too - they make new plants at the nodes (where the leaves meet the stem).
6. Spider plants make baby plants on the ends of their long stems.
7. This helps plants spread out and grow in new places!
