In sound waves, the distance between compressions is called the wavelength.

What is the distance between rarefactions called?

speed
frequency
amplitude
wavelength

Respuesta :

The answer is wavelength.
Wavelength is the distance between two successful crests or troughs in a transverse wave ( a wave in which vibration of particles is perpendicular to the direction of the wave motion). In a longitudinal wave ( a wave in which the vibration of particles is parallel to the direction of wave motion) the wavelength is the direction between two successful rarefactions or compressions.

D. Wavelength

hope it helps
