• Latent: This is a hidden stage of syphilis. In this stage there is no noticeable symptom but bacteria present in the body.

Out of all these stages, tertiary stage is fetal for an individual. If syphilis is left untreated in the first stage and second stage then it goes to tertiary stage an affect the individual. Tertiary stage cannot be treated with medicine. This stage is life threatening for an individual. The first and stage can be treated with medicine and they can be cured.
