Are tensions with Russia today better or worse than tensions between the Soviet Union and the US during the Cuban Missile Crisis?

a bit better not much tho we are not on the edge of bombing each other off the face of the planet 
but the tension is still pretty bad none the less

Tensions today are definitely not as bad. The cuban missile crisis was the closest we ever came to nuclear war. It showed that the US was willing to send troops to fight communism and Russia was willing to send troops to push communism
