Yeah Your Right!

Since she returned the 2 pounds of unopened caramels to the shop (which cost $14) that she recieved in store credit.

She currently has $14 in store credit.

She buys 3 pounds of truffles, which costs her $48, since 16 times 3 is 48.

Then she can use her store credit ($14) and take it off of the $48.

  48
- 14
  $34

That would be how much she owes to the store, since she was charged $48 but used $14 store credit to get the price down to $34, which she currently owes.

Hope this helps,

So if she bought 2 caramel and returned then then she has 14$ in store credit. Then she buys 3 truffles so that's 48$. Take off the amount that she has in store credit and it's 48-14=34 so u r right!
