Multiply numbers outside of parenthesis to their equivalents within the parenthesis.
7x times 2x
4 + -6
7x times 2x +14x
4 + -6 = -2
Multiply the two answers (because the second answer was in parenthesis)
14x times -2 is the simplified expression
