When a researcher has found a strong correlation between amount of exercise and mood, the researcher can safely conclude that: exercise and mood are significantly linked or related. We must also consider that correlation does not always imply causation.

Given this situation, we can conclude a consistent and efficient correlation between exercise and an individual’s mood. This means as a person exercises more, their mood is likely to improve; likewise can be said for less exercise and a worse mood. Another point to consider would be that exercise and mood may not be directly related, but rather the results of underlying factors in the process of exercise. Exercise may not independently affect a person’s mood.
