One of the important elements of drama ia dialogue, the words spoken by the characters. Choose one of the characters from Act I of "The Phantom Tollbooth". Write a pargraph in which you describe three things about the character that are revealed by the sorts of things he says and how he says them. Support your ideas with examples fromt he drama.

"It seems to me that almost everything is a waste of time," he remarked one day as he walked dejectedly home from school. "I can't see the point in learning to solve useless problems, or subtracting turnips from turnips, or knowing where Ethiopia is or how to spell February." 

This is Milo. He is bored. He is apathetic. He sees everything is a waste of time, thus, he does not exert any effort in accomplishing anything of value.
