Draw a number line that shows two equivalent fractions. Label your number line and explain how you know the fractions are equivalent.

Respuesta :

You can draw a number line that shows two equivalent fractions by:

1.) Drawing a horizontal line

2.) Choosing the equivalent fractions you want to use.  An example would be 6/1 and 12/2.  These both are the same number, just expressed in different ways.  You can label 6/1 on top and 12/2 on the bottom of the number line and fill in the rest of the numbers.

6/1 = 6 (if you didnt already know that)

Number lines are used to represent different numbers at regular intervals

How to draw the number lines?

Assume the fraction is:

a/b

The equivalent fractions are

2a/2b, 3a/3b, 4a/4b, 5a/5b....

The above means that:

The factor multiplied to the numerator must also be multiplied to the denominator
