The Smith family needed a cat to catch all of the mice that kept getting into the
house. They had tried mouse traps, but the mice kept getting the cheese without
getting caught. They were pretty smart mice. Finally they went to the animal
shelter and found Max. He was a two year old friendly cat that seemed like the
perfect choice. He was already litter trained, and he loved to chase things. That
was important. Once they took Max home it didn't take very long before every
mouse was gone! Plus they had a great cat for a pet.
