Aunty Ifeoma was not disturbed by societal requirements for women to be married with children. She was one of such women who had no husband but was still living very well. When Mama said that all girls wanted to be married and have children, Aunty Ifema said that it was what those girls thought they wanted because they found it easier to cling to men who could provide their material needs.
