Myocardial ischemia occurs when blood flow to your heart is reduced , preventing the heart muscle from receiving enough oxygen which is inadequate flow of arterial blood , typically as a result of left ventricular  failure.

The reduced blood flow is usually the result of a partial or complete blockage of your heart's arteries which is also called coronary arteries. It occurs when dysfunction of left ventricle causing insufficient delivery of the blood to vital body organs.

When left ventricles are fails then increase in fluid pressure , effect , transferred back through the lungs, ultimately damaging the heart's right side.The heart contracts less forcefully and pumps out a lower percentage of blood that is returned to it.
