The members of the genus mycoplasma are pleomorphic and stain gram-negative because they lack cell walls. Due to the absence of cell walls, it is not visible in Gram stain.

Mycoplasma is a group of bacteria which does not have any cell walls. It attacks both plants and animals. A human with mycoplasma has the symptoms of cough, fever, sore throat, headache, tiredness, etc. Common mycoplasma infection is Pneumonia.

Gram stain is also known as Gram's Method, which is a lab technique used to detect large groups of bacteria at the infected site. It gives two types of results, i.e. gram-negative and gram-positive.
