What is Fiber Cable?

An optical fiber exists as a flexible, transparent fiber created by drawing glass or plastic to a diameter slightly thicker than that of human hair. Fiber optics stand utilized for long-distance and high-performance data networking. It exists also commonly used in telecommunication services, such as the internet, television, and telephones.

There exist two types of fiber optic cables – multimode and single-mode. Multimode optical fiber or OFC stands capable of carrying multiple light rays (modes) at the exact time as it has varying optical properties at the core. Single-mode fiber includes a much smaller core size (9 microns).

Fiber optic cable stands are created of many thin strands of coated glass fibers. Each measure about eight microns - that's smaller than a strand of human hair. Digitized information exists “coded,” or placed on to light pulses for transmission. It travels along the glass fiber at the speed of light - 186,000 miles per second.

Hence, Fiber Cable is most likely being tested.
