What is Neurogenic shock ?

Neurogenic shock is a life threatening condition .it is caused by irregular blood circulation in the body .

In this the blood pressure will drop drastically . and also cause irreversible damage to the body tissues .

Due to delay in treatment it can cause death also .

Symptoms of neurogenic shock includes dizziness , nausea , vomiting , blank stares , fainting , anxiety , pale skin .

You also may experience chest pain ,difficulty in breathing , bradycardia ,etc.

Phenylephrine :

It is a alpha -adrenergic agonist and may cause bradycardia and restlessness due to central nervous system stimulation .

phenylephrine does not impair functioning of thyroid and adrenal gland .
