According to the people who oppose conscription, conscription violates the conscientious objection.

  Conscription is a state mandated enlistment of people in a national service mainly a military service, and it continues in some countries to the present day under various names. Conscription is problematic on various grounds such as conscientious objection on religious or philosophical ground; then political objection, that is,  to serve for a disliked government; Sexism, only men have been subject to the draft; and Ideological objection, that is, to perceive violation of individual right.  

  A conscientious objection is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to perform military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion. On 8th March, 1995, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights stated that 'persons performing military service should not be excluded from the right to have conscientious objections to military service'. A conscientious objectors in some countries are assigned to an alternative civilian service as an alternative.
