Respuesta :

The Ionic bonds gives rise to completely charged atoms by electron sharing. The polar covalent bonds gives rise to partially charged atoms through electron sharing. The non polar covalent bonds constitutes sharing electrons equally between the atoms.

In an ionic bond between atoms electrons are transferred from one atom to other. This makes the atom which loss electrons a positively- charged ion and the one which receives electron a negatively-charged ion. Thus an ionic bond is formed between ions.

A covalent bond is formed as a result of sharing electrons between atoms. There are two types of covalent bonds: Polar and non polar.

In a polar covalent bond ,the more electronegative atom pulls the electron toward it making it slightly negatively-charged and the other atom partially positively- charged.

In a non-polar covalent bond, the electrons are equally shared between the atoms. Here neither of the atoms assumes any charge.
