Primary level of protein structure contains the information needed for proper protein folding.

Central dogma of life is the basis of protein. DNA transcribes into RNA which is further translated into protein. Now, this protein further folds to attain stable and functional structure.

There are four levels of protein structures. Primary structure is the linear protein chain. Secondary structure is the spatial arrangement of Carbon atoms in protein. The secondary structures are alpha helix, beta sheets and turns. It forms by hydrogen bonding between amino acids, on the basis of arrangement of amino acids.

Further, the protein folds into more compact shape 3 Dimensionally. This structure forms by ionic bonds, hydrophilic and disulfide bonds etc. Tertiary structure of protein is highly important as it provides active site to the enzymatic proteins.
