The ship in which the conspiracy of the sailors was carried on belonged to Captain Bligh. This ship was called The Bounty and it had sailed on April 4 1789. This ship was unertaken for a journey fom the South Pacific island of Tahiti to the West Indies. The purpose of this voyage was the transportation of breadfruit plants that grew in Tahiti.

After three weeks of voyage one night when the Captain was sleeping he was awakened suddenly. He was informed that Fletcher Christian, and  several crew member including the three sailors that they had taken over the ship. They had also taken over confiscated all the weapons on board. Eighteen crew members who remained loyal to the captain had also been locked up.

Captain Bligh had warned them that they will pay dearly for this act of conspiracy. When later only three of these sailors were alive as all the other had been killed the soldiers were hanged wordly wise to show the world that this type of conspiracy should never be carried out again.
