In giant elliptical galaxies, astronomers find the largest galaxies in the universe.

Giant elliptical galaxies can contains trillion of stars and are up to two millions light years stretched out.

Some Elliptical galaxies are also small even smaller than our milky way but the bigger one are stretched up to two million light years. These galaxies mostly contain old and dimmed stars orbiting the galactic center.

M87, identified as one of the largest galaxies in the universe and it is an elliptical galaxy. Elliptical galaxies are harder to find since they are not very shiny as compared to spiral galaxies.
