A doctrine that can make the person who is hiring vicariously liable for the torts of employees, however, it doesn’t apply to contractors who are independent is called the doctrine of respondeat superior. In simple words, the employer is responsible for the actions of its employee performed during a project. The employer is without any question liable for the assaults if an employer gives an order to an employee to assault a customer.
