However, these four decision-making styles work better in different environments or situations. These types of leadership lead the organization toward productivity, a cooperative, and engaged working environment.
- Directive decision-making style: This style makes quick decisions and comes to a solution. This type of decision maker has a low tolerance for unclear or ambiguous ideas. This type of leadership mostly focuses on the tasks and use their knowledge to come to a solution.
- Analytical decision-making style: This type of leadership makes the decision based on their analytics and data information. They are task-oriented but they have a high tolerance for ambiguity. They make the decision and come to the solution based on compile data and information.
- Conceptual decision-making style: They are the big thinker and make the decision based on their conceptual analysis. They suggest different available options and possibilities. This style has a high tolerance for unclear or ambiguous ideas. This type of decision-maker are highly social-oriented and take time for making decision. They look forward and try to predict what will happen if the decision is taken. The conceptual decision-maker are strong in making long term decision.
- Behavioral decision-maker: This style focuses on building relationships more than the tasks. As part of their decision-making, they evaluate the feelings of others and make decisions accordingly. This type of decision-making style have low tolerance for ambiguity.
