- Then they part ways, encounter more diverse people, possibly study world religions in school, and determine to reconsider one‘s religious beliefs.
- Identity foreclosure is comparable to significant cases in that it occurs when a person examines their values, religious views, career goals, political beliefs, and other characteristics in order to develop an identity that begins to feel uniquely their own.
- Identity foreclosure, in contrast hand, is not the same as genuine identity. It's like putting on a mask.
