This is an example of Cassini-Huygens: Exploring Saturn's System.

Many shepherd moons orbit Saturn. They are referred to as such because they focus on the material that is attempting to reclaim its original location after leaving the ring. The rings for the gaps are accountable for these as well.

As they approach ring F, Prometheus and Pandora are racing. On both the inner and outer edges of the F ring, Prometheus is referred to as a "shepherd" and Pandora as a "princess." The outside border of ring A should have The Atlas as its shepherd.

To keep it from veering off course on their current course, they cooperate with Saturn's rings. These therefore relate to the shepherd who makes sure their herd does not go off the chosen path.
