Respuesta :

Native Americans had a troubled relationship with the British, as they saw them as explorers and invaders. However, the relationship with the French was more cordial, there was already an attempt to establish business between them.

How did these relationships happen?

  • The French proposed living with the natives in partnership.
  • In this case, the French committed themselves not to invade the natives' lands and only to use the raw materials of the region, allowing the indigenous people to have a small remuneration for this.
  • The English, on the other hand, adopted an exploratory strategy that was frowned upon by the natives.
  • The English looted, invaded, exploited, and forced the Indians to adopt Christian customs.

The English approach was very violent and so was responded to with violence by the natives, who attacked the English whenever the opportunity arose.

The French approach was more lenient and while it was also unfair and exploited the natives in another way, it was set out from a more pleasant and appreciable outside.
