When seen with a registry editor, a node in the tree is a registry key placed at the pinnacle level.
A registry key can be notion of as being a bit like a file folder, but it exists solely in the Windows Registry. Registry keys contain registry values, just like folders include files. Registry keys can also comprise different registry keys, which are now and again referred to as subkeys.
