How did the American Revolution begin?

The British were sent to the American colonies in order to impose the will of the British King and his Parliament as there were fears of an impending rebellion.

After the British soldiers arrived, they were tasked with destroying a colonial arms depot which led to colonial militia taking up positions in Massachusetts. The British marched on this position and this led to an altercation where the British are said to have fire first and killed several colonial militia.

The Colonists responded and fired back on the British troops which led to the American Revolutionary War officially beginning.
