The act of excluding or denying people and the products, rights, and services based on their race, ethnicity or religion, gender, age and also by  sexual orientation, or disability is known as discrimination

Discrimination is an unfair or prejudicial treatment of the people and the groups based on there characteristics such as the race, gender, age or the sexual orientation. People may  discriminated against because that of their age, disability,& ethnicity, origin, political & belief, race, religion, sex or  by there gender, sexual orientation and language, culture and on many other grounds.

Unfair discrimination is dealt within under the Employment Equity Act. Examples of this are – race or gender or ethnic or social origin, colour, the sexual orientation, age and the disability, etc. Discrimination can also be the direct or indirect.
