If polaris lies directly in line with the horizon, what is your approximate latitude? what is the name commonly given to the latitude where you are located?
The answer is 5 degrees (I assume you mean north) latitude, as other responders have said. And you can even see Polaris from south of the equator. The question is, “from how far south?”
