Identify how the story is written. For example it could be the hook, bridge, paragraph, etc. Basically what the outline is for the story. An organizational pattern develops the author's point of view by stating his/her claim. As a pattern develops and his/her claim becomes repeatitive you can see his/her claim more clearly.
