Given data :

Angular speed = 4800 RPM

Diameter of CD ( D )= 120 mm  ≈ 0.12 m

Determine the Linear speed of the CD

applying the equation : v = ( π DN ) / 60 m/s

Linear speed ( V ) = ( π * D * N ) / 60 m/s

                              = ( π * 0.12 * 4800 ) / 60

                              = 30.16 m/s

Hence we can conclude that the linear speed of the CD is : 30.16 m/s
