In this question, we are going to put the steps of electron transport in the correct order.1-Delivery of electrons, 2-Electron transfer, 3-Oxygen splits, 4-forming water and ATP synthesis.

Electron transport steps

Delivery of electrons by NADH and FADH Reduced carriers (NADH and FADH) of the other steps of cellular respiration transfer their electrons to molecules near the beginning of the transport chain. In the process, they revert to being NAD^++ , and FAD, which can be reused in other steps of cellular respiration.

Electron transfer and proton pumping. As electrons pass through the chain, they move from a higher to a lower energy level, releasing energy. Some of this energy is used to pump H^+ ions+ , taking them out of the cell matrix and dropping them into the intermembrane space. This pumping establishes an electrochemical gradient.

Oxygen splits, forming water. At the end of the electron transport chain, electrons are transferred to the oxygen molecule, which splits in half and joins the H^++ forming water.

ATP synthesis caused by the gradient. As the H^+ ions+ start flow down the gradient into the matrix, they pass through an enzyme called ATP synthase, which takes advantage of the flow of protons to synthesize ATP.

With this information, we can conclude that the electron transfer steps are: Delivery of electrons, Electron transfer, Oxygen splits, forming water and ATP synthesis.
