I'm just going to explain in my own words what i would do every year

Answer:

Every year around December 28, we go to a hotel and stay there until January 2 so that we can see what it feels like to experience the new year from different parts of the world and congratulate people there.

It is important to our family because we get to feel like we are not always staying home and that we live somewhere else doing a tradition somewhere else.

THIS IS JUST IN MY OWN WORDS IF YOU DONT LIKE SOMTHING HERE OR FEEL LIKE SOMTHING WOULD NOT FIT YOU CAN CHANGE IT
