Be sure to state main ideas and su details. Your statements should answer the critical listening questions and provide evidence from the presentation listened to. Ask yourself these questions. 1. Do I know the statement is based on fact, and can I verify the fact from multiple resources? 2. Is the statement affected by emotion? 3. Does the speaker have something to gain by changing my opinion? 4. Do I want to believe this simply because it was stated by someone I like or admire? 5.
