If the Volume of this barrel is 600,000 cm^3, what is the height of the barrel? *

Since Volume = Area of the base * height, you can "undo" the formula to find a missing value. If you know the volume, then you find the height by dividing the Volume by the Area of the base. Remember that height is written with units, not units^2 or units^3.

Since I don’t know the are of the base (I’m assuming there’s a diagram or something on your worksheet) I can’t answer the question, but I can give you an equation to use in order to solve it!

All you need to do is divide 600,000 by whatever the area of the base is and the answer should be the height of the barrel
ex. 600,000/x (x is the area of the base)
