Let h be the number of hours worked.
Let x be the tips
Let t be Thomas
Let m be Marie’s pay

t=4h+x

(plug in 120 for x)

t=4h+120
——————————————
m=12h

(They made same amount of money working the same amount of hours)

4h+120=12h
120=8h

How many hours did they both work? :)
