Academic misconduct is defined as any behavior that gives a student an unfair advantage in their assessment(s) or intentionally and unduly disadvantages other students. It can be done knowingly or unintentionally. A student cannot report his or her misconduct more than once.
What are self-referrals in academic misconduct?
Students who engage in academic misconduct can demonstrate their commitment to academic integrity by reporting themselves in writing to their instructor or another member of their school's or college's academic leadership.
During their time at the university, students may not use the self-referral resolution process more than once.
All teachers and other instructors in schools and colleges must follow protocols to report student self-referrals to the Coordinator for resolution.
