I see my counterpart's argument and I agree to some extent. When bringing up this topic you also have to bring up the dangers of it as well. My counterpart mentioned how much easier it would be for teens and children whose school bus doesn't have a solid bus route or safe bus stops but, now with all the kidnapping and assault cases recently, I wouldn't feel comfortable hearing a 10-year-old girl on a 40 minute to an hour and a half bus ride by herself let along doing it myself as a teenage girl. In my counterpart's secondary argument they stated that people who are struggling financially deserve to be able to. Once again I agree to some extent but, many people are not only struggling financially but with addiction and bad habits as well. Let's take a man ( like in the example you gave ) in his min the to late '30s if he was on a bus with children and teens of young ages noticeably intoxicated would you or would you not be extremely worried? The point I am trying to make is yes, some people deserve to have free public transportation but in today's world with all the sick and twisted people we have, not everyone should
