please help this is an overdue assignment!!!!

I went on a local mountain climbing on a snowy mountain near my cousins house, they live all the way in Vermont, I know my mom spent a lot of money for us to go, so I decided to make the most of it, the mountains had a giant river with a foggy sky. We also wanted to ride a boat across the river. the water was of course very freezing as it was very snowy. We got done walking the mountain and my legs were beginning to get VERY numb, I quickly hopped in the boat, it was FREEZING still. I l knew my cousins would be in charge of the voyage so I went to sleep. It felt like 10 whole hours, when I woke up to an empty boat. No one was in it but me. I was in the middle of the river, the blue river now got iced. I couldn't swim without a major risk of hypothermia. There was no signal on my phone. My whole body was numb due to the extreme cold. I couldn't stop looking at the mountains because of how beautiful they were, I couldn't even see the path it was so foggy. About 4 minutes later a rescue boat came and got me. It turns out they had gotten to land and accidently left me in the boat and I went floating in the middle of the freezing river. They called for a rescue boat. But I never was able to get the image of the mountains and freezing blue river out of my head.
Poem- The Mountain is cold Snowy white like old I really felt bold The sky was so grey I looked far away To much in my display In the snow I will play This is making my day I go down the mountain As I stopped at a fountain In the lodge I stayed In the warmness I played As my day ended in warmth.
