The statistics about league A and B given by the boxplots have the same interquartile range value.

From the boxplot attached ;

  • The position of the lower whisker marks the minimum value for the first boxplots while that of the second value is 0. Hence, they have different minimum value.

  • The starting point(Q1) and end point(Q3) of the boxes in the two boxplots are the same, therefore, the Interquartile range(IQR) = (Q3 - Q1) will be the same.

  • The position of the vertical line in between the box in both boxplots are different, hence, the median values will be different.

  • Maximum value of first boxplot is about 9 while the second boxplot has a maximum value of about 12.5 , therefore, they will have different maximum values.

  • The range of the second boxplot is greater than that of the first boxplot, hence range is different.

Therefore, the statistics which is the same for both boxplot is the interquartile range.
